Privacy Policy of use
What this covers
This notice explains what arabian.com does with information about you. It applies to the website and to anything you send through a form on it.
What is collected
Only what you type in. That means your name, email address, phone number, farm name, and whatever you write about a horse when you list a stallion or send a service request. If you open an account, your email address and a hashed password are stored. The site also keeps ordinary server logs, including your IP address, for security and to limit abuse of the forms.
What it is used for
To answer you, to check a record against its registry, to put a mare owner in touch with a stud, and to run your account. Enquiry details are passed to the stud you are enquiring about, because that is the point of sending them. Nothing is sold, rented, or handed to advertisers.
How long it is kept
Enquiries and messages are kept while they are useful and then deleted. Account and stallion records stay until you ask for them to go. Server logs are short lived.
Who else can see it
The hosting provider that runs the servers, and the email service that delivers messages. They act on instruction and cannot use your information for their own purposes. Nobody else, unless the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to the address below and it will be dealt with. If you are in the UK or the EU, you can also complain to your national data protection authority.
Cookies
The site sets a cookie when you sign in, so it can remember you. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
